Are you a part of a youth-led organization passionate about driving positive change in your community? If so, the Comic Relief US Youth Advisory Council (YAC) has an exciting opportunity for you! We are thrilled to announce the launch of the second year of the Juntanza Fund grantmaking initiative, aimed at supporting impactful projects led by young changemakers across the globe.
What is the Juntanza Fund?
The Juntanza Fund is a grantmaking initiative initiated by the Comic Relief US Youth Advisory Council (YAC). Our mission is to provide financial support to youth-led social change projects in Argentina, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, United States, and Zambia. We are dedicated to addressing pressing issues such as Climate Justice, Health, and Gender Equity through innovative and impactful initiatives.
Grant Details:
- Grant Range: $5,000 to $10,000 USD
- Duration: Up to one year
- Focus Areas: Climate Justice, Health, and Gender Equity

Eligibility Criteria:
- Organizations must have a leadership team comprising 50% or more youth below the age of 25.
- Applicants must be a US-registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization or a registered nonprofit/NGO in their country of operation.
- Finalist organizations without 501(c)(3) status will be considered for fiscal sponsorship with our partner organization, Moore Philanthropy.
- Organizations must have a bank account capable of accepting funds from the United States.

Focus Areas:
We invite proposals that demonstrate innovative approaches to addressing the following areas:
- Climate Justice: Projects focusing on mitigating the environmental impacts of climate change and disasters, while preserving cultural heritage and strengthening community resilience.
- Health: Initiatives aimed at improving healthcare accessibility and information dissemination, with a focus on proactive measures and youth-friendly services.
- Gender Equity: Proposals targeting the dismantling of gender-based barriers, advocating for fair treatment and opportunities for individuals of all genders.
