Exciting Fully Remote Part-time Role with Up to USD 2500 Monthly Salary: International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) Hiring Part-Time Grants Coordinator

The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) has announced applications for a part-time Grants Coordinator position, offering professionals with experience in project management, journalism, grantmaking, or international development an opportunity to support programs that empower women and gender-diverse journalists worldwide.
The remote position is open to candidates authorized to work in the United States and will require approximately 20 hours per week.

Role to Support Global Reporting and Anti-Hate Journalism Fund
According to the IWMF, the Grants Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Programs to support the organization’s newly established investigative anti-hate reporting fund, a three-year initiative designed to strengthen independent journalism and expand opportunities for women and nonbinary reporters.
The successful candidate will contribute to programme administration, grant coordination, stakeholder engagement, and reporting while helping advance the foundation’s mission of promoting diversity and equity in journalism.
Key Responsibilities
The Grants Coordinator will assist in managing the reporting fund through a variety of administrative and programme support activities, including:
- Coordinating grant application and selection processes.
- Scheduling and organizing selection committee meetings and logistics.
- Serving as a primary contact for applicants, fellows, grantees, and selection committees.
- Supporting engagement with journalists and the wider IWMF network.
- Developing and improving grant application guidelines and resources.
- Monitoring grant timelines, reports, and programme progress.
- Collecting programme data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Working with the communications team to maintain up-to-date website content.
- Providing additional support across IWMF programmes when required.
Qualifications and Experience
The foundation is seeking candidates who possess:
- One to three years of experience in project management, journalism, grantmaking, international affairs, or international development.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as media development, public affairs, or international relations.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Applicants should also demonstrate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- The capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.

Remote Working Opportunity
The IWMF noted that although its headquarters are located in Washington, D.C., staff members work remotely from locations across the United States.
The advertised role is a part-time staff position and does not include health insurance benefits.
Salary and Compensation
The successful candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from:
- US$2,350 to US$2,500 per month
Compensation will reflect the part-time nature of the role, which requires approximately 20 hours of work each week.
