Key Responsibilities

The Senior Advocacy and Partnership Manager will be responsible for a broad range of strategic functions, including:

• Identifying opportunities to enhance partnerships, collaboration, and funding.
• Coordinating strategic initiatives across Save the Children offices and external partners.
• Supporting the development and implementation of advocacy and influencing strategies.
• Monitoring policy, political, and funding developments in Ireland.
• Providing strategic analysis and intelligence to colleagues across the Save the Children movement.
• Building strong relationships with policymakers, government officials, NGOs, and coalition partners.
• Advancing child rights and humanitarian objectives through evidence-based advocacy.

The position requires close collaboration with teams across Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom, Europe, and international country offices.

Eligibility Requirements

Save the Children is seeking candidates with substantial experience in relationship management, advocacy, and partnership development.

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Significant experience working with government institutions, donor organizations, or major stakeholders.
• Experience within advocacy, policy, public affairs, international development, or partnership-focused roles.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Proven experience coordinating complex partnerships and multi-organizational projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Knowledge of humanitarian action, international development, and child rights issues.
• Understanding of conflict-affected and humanitarian contexts.

Flexible Working Arrangements

The position can be performed remotely from anywhere on the island of Ireland. However, employees will occasionally be required to attend the Belfast office, generally one to two days per month depending on operational requirements.
