Teaching and Academic Responsibilities
A major responsibility of the LSE Fellow is delivering high-quality teaching to students enrolled in the Master of Public Policy (MPP) programme. This includes conducting lectures and seminars while ensuring that learning objectives are clearly defined and effectively communicated.
The fellow will also contribute to the preparation and delivery of policy projects, particularly within the Public Policy Application course (PP405), a core component of the MPP curriculum. These projects provide students with opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world policy challenges.
Additional teaching responsibilities include preparing assessments, marking coursework and examinations, and providing timely and constructive feedback to students. The fellow is also expected to supervise dissertations and policy papers while supporting students throughout their research journey.
Regular office hours will be held to provide academic guidance, answer student queries, and offer mentorship. The role further includes acting as an academic advisor, helping students navigate both academic and personal challenges in collaboration with professional services teams.
Student Support and Collaboration
The position emphasizes student-centred learning and collaborative engagement. The post holder will identify individual learning needs, provide tailored academic support, and contribute to activities that strengthen students’ research and analytical capabilities.
The fellow will work closely with academic colleagues and professional services staff to ensure the smooth coordination of teaching, assessments, and student support services.
