Role Overview and Purpose

  • HIV/AIDS
  • Tuberculosis (including drug-resistant TB)
  • Hepatitis
  • Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)

The position contributes to ensuring continuity of care for patients living in fragile health systems, where access to consistent treatment is often disrupted.

Key Responsibilities

The role combines clinical expertise, programme support, and strategic input across MSF’s operational contexts.

Programme Implementation Support

  • Provide high-quality technical and operational support to field missions
  • Ensure delivery of context-adapted healthcare strategies
  • Strengthen integration of chronic and infectious disease services

Policy and Strategic Contribution

  • Support development and updating of MSF policies and guidelines
  • Contribute to strategic frameworks in chronic disease and infectious disease programming

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education and Professional Status

  • Qualified medical doctor
  • Valid registration with a recognised professional body
  • Demonstrated postgraduate clinical experience

Professional Experience

  • Experience in managing and implementing chronic care programmes
  • Previous work in humanitarian or low- and middle-income country settings
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Technical and Core Skills

Employment Details

  • Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
  • Contract duration: 14 months (maternity cover)
  • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
  • Salary range: £61,531.29 – £75,204.91 per annum
  • Start date: June 2026 (projected)
