The Talent Development Unit (TDU), part of UNDP’s Bureau for Management Services (BMS), drives the People for 2030 Strategy, focusing on building capacity, fostering learning, and supporting career development within UNDP.

Internship Overview

UNDP is seeking People Development Interns to support the implementation of the People for 2030 Strategy. Interns will gain practical experience in talent and organizational development, learning design, and human resources management.

Applicants may select up to two focus areas based on their skills and interests:

  1. Communications Intern – Support creation of graphics, videos, presentations, podcasts, webinars, and social media content for talent development programs.
  2. Career Development & Onboarding Intern – Assist with onboarding processes, career development initiatives, enrollment tracking, and reporting.
  3. Leadership Development Intern – Support leadership programs, training materials, and capacity-building initiatives.
  4. Learning Technology Intern – Assist in monitoring, evaluation, and technology solutions for learning programs, including Power BI, Power Automate, and external learning platforms.
  5. Learning Design Intern – Design and develop interactive eLearning modules, online training content, and multimedia resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain digital content and training materials.
  • Support learning program management, including enrollment, reporting, and responding to queries.
  • Assist in research on learning tools, talent development content, and emerging technologies.
  • Apply adult learning principles to develop engaging and interactive eLearning experiences.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation of learning interventions.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative and able to work independently.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and learning tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Knowledge of digital design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus.
  • Experience with online course authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, HTML5) is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English required; French or Spanish is an asset.

Eligibility

  • Enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s or equivalent), or
  • Enrolled in the final academic year of a Bachelor’s program, or
  • Recently graduated (within one year) with a university degree.
