East Africa Market Development Associates (EAMDA) is Seeking a Regional Coordinator (7 Positions) & Program Manager

EAMDA is inviting highly skilled, mission-driven professionals to apply for two strategic full-time positions that play a central role in advancing the organisation’s development, project management and impact-delivery portfolio. 1. Regional Coordinator (7 Positions)

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: 200,000 – 250,000 KES per month
Location: Various regions

The Regional Coordinator role is designed for professionals who can provide operational leadership, strengthen implementation systems and ensure that programmes run efficiently within assigned regions. The incumbent will serve as a critical liaison between regional teams, partner organisations, communities and national leadership structures.

Key Responsibilities
The Regional Coordinator will:

  • Oversee day-to-day coordination of regional projects in line with organisational strategies and donor expectations.
  • Maintain programme quality by ensuring compliance with operational policies, risk management protocols and ethical standards.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation processes, including data gathering, verification, reporting and follow-up on action points.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including government agencies, community networks, NGOs, service providers and implementing partners.
  • Lead regional planning sessions, prepare status updates and contribute to consolidated organisational reports.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to regional field teams to ensure optimal performance and accountability.
  • Support logistical arrangements and smooth implementation of training sessions, field missions and community-level interventions.

Eligibility & Minimum Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate strong regional management capability and a commitment to collaborative project delivery. The ideal applicant should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Public Administration, Social Sciences or a closely related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of professional experience in project coordination, field operations or regional programme management.
  • Strong knowledge of programme implementation cycles, donor-funded operations and community-based development approaches.
  • Proven ability to lead multicultural teams and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across multiple levels.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and reporting skills, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office, project management tools and digital communication platforms.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned regions and occasionally beyond.

2. Program Manager

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: 300,000 – 400,000 KES per month
Category: Management
Location: HQ or regional assignment, as applicable

The Program Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for designing, managing and evaluating complex programmes across multiple thematic areas. The incumbent will provide strategic direction, ensure high-quality outputs and maintain alignment with organisational goals and donor priorities. This role requires an experienced professional who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on management of project teams, resources and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
The Program Manager will:

  • Lead the conceptualisation, planning and execution of large-scale programmes across diverse thematic sectors.
  • Develop comprehensive workplans, budgets, performance metrics and implementation frameworks.
  • Ensure all programmes comply with donor requirements, contractual obligations, internal controls and regulatory frameworks.
  • Oversee monitoring, evaluation and learning systems to drive evidence-based decision-making and adaptive management.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership to ensure strategic coherence across all interventions.
  • Provide technical mentorship to programme teams, promote professional development and build institutional capacities.
  • Strengthen partnerships with donors, government agencies, private sector actors, regional bodies and community organisations.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals, concept notes, reports and documentation to support fundraising and communication efforts.
  • Identify operational risks, propose mitigation measures and steer programmes toward successful and sustainable outcomes.

Eligibility & Minimum Requirements
This position requires exceptional leadership, analytical and strategic planning competencies. Candidates should possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Public Policy, Business Administration or a related field (a Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience may be considered).
  • A minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in programme management, including leadership of multi-regional or large-scale initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in donor-funded projects, budget management, compliance oversight and team leadership.
  • Strong competencies in strategy development, risk analysis, results-based management and partnership building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality technical documents.
  • Strong negotiation, coordination, facilitation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software, monitoring tools and digital collaboration systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in complex contexts.
