With extensive operations across South Africa and Malaysia, ARM mines and beneficiates iron ore, manganese ore, chrome ore, platinum group metals (PGMs), nickel and coal, and maintains a strategic investment in Harmony Gold Mining Company. Graduate Development Programme (C-Lower Patterson Grading)

The Graduate Development Programme is designed to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills and legal certifications required to operate within the mining industry. Through structured training, hands-on exposure and rotational learning across operational sections, participants will develop the professional competencies needed to contribute effectively to ARM’s business objectives.

Location:
ARM Operations across Northern Cape, Limpopo and Mpumalanga

AVAILABLE GRADUATE POSITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Graduate Geologists (2 positions)

Eligibility and Requirements:
• BSc Geology (Honours)
• MSc Geology advantageous
• Strong interest in geological modelling, mapping and mineral resource evaluation

2. Junior Engineers (2 positions)

Eligibility and Requirements:
• BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering or High Current Electrical Engineering, OR
• National Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline
• Willingness to pursue engineering training and professional development

3. Graduate Human Resources Development (1 position)

Eligibility and Requirements:
• Degree in Human Resources Development or Industrial Psychology
• Interest in training, organisational development and employee capability programmes

4. Graduate Rock Engineer (1 position)

Eligibility and Requirements:
• BSc in Mining Engineering, Geology or Natural Sciences
• Understanding of rock mechanics principles or willingness to specialise in rock engineering

5. Graduate Tailing Dam Engineers (2 positions)

Eligibility and Requirements:
• BSc Civil Engineering
• Interest in geotechnical engineering, water management and tailings facility integrity

6. Graduate Mining Engineer (1 position)

Eligibility and Requirements:
• Degree or National Diploma in Mining Engineering
• Commitment to developing skills in mine planning, operations and production processes

7. Graduate Occupational Hygiene (1 position)

Eligibility and Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Sciences or Occupational Hygiene
• Understanding of occupational exposure monitoring and workplace health regulations

8. Graduate Mining Planner (1 position)

Eligibility and Requirements:
• Degree or National Diploma in Mining Engineering or Geology
• Interest in mine planning, scheduling and production optimisation

9. Graduate Finance (2 positions)

Eligibility and Requirements:
• BCom in Financial Accounting, Management or Economics
• Strong numeracy, analytical skills and understanding of financial principles
