Why This Learnership Matters

South Africa faces high unemployment rates among young people, many of whom struggle to access work experience that employers require. This learnership bridges that gap by offering:

1. Practical Workplace Experience

2. Accredited Training

Theoretical learning components prepare participants with foundational industry knowledge, boosting personal confidence and professional competence.

3. Monthly Stipend

The programme provides a R2,000 stipend, which helps cover living costs during the learnership period and ensures participants can focus fully on completing the programme.

4. Enhanced Employability

Upon completion, learners hold a recognized qualification and up to a year of real work experience—key stepping stones toward permanent employment or further study in retail-related fields.

What Participants Will Gain

By the end of the 12 months, learners can expect to have developed:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Practical experience in store operations
  • Confidence operating in fast-paced retail environments
  • Improved teamwork and workplace professionalism
  • A solid understanding of merchandising and stock procedures
  • A strengthened CV that appeals to retail employers nationwide

For many young people, the completion of a structured learnership is a powerful launchpad toward long-term career growth in the retail sector.
