1. Data Reporting Intern – Programme Division

The Position
The Data Reporting Intern supports the Programme Division in consolidating, analyzing, and presenting information that reflects UNFPA’s programme performance across multiple countries. Working closely with technical advisers, monitoring and evaluation specialists, and programme analysts, the intern contributes to strengthening data systems that enhance accountability, visibility, and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing programme data from country offices and implementing partners.
- Support the preparation of dashboards, internal briefs, and evidence-based reports used by senior management and technical teams.
- Contribute to improving data quality by identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and capacity needs.
- Review indicators aligned with UNFPA’s Strategic Plan and help track progress toward organizational results.
- Maintain internal databases and ensure timely updates of relevant documentation and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with other interns and programme teams to support cross-cutting initiatives related to monitoring, evaluation, and results-based management.

The Results Reporting Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the preparation of UNFPA’s corporate reporting products, including annual progress reports, regional summaries, and contributions to UN system-wide reporting frameworks. The intern ensures that evidence, narratives, and results from country offices are accurately captured and communicated.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering, reviewing, and synthesizing inputs for regional and global results reports.
- Support validation of programme achievements against strategic indicators and benchmarks.
- Contribute to drafting narrative sections that highlight progress, challenges, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Ensure alignment between programmatic achievements and UNFPA’s strategic outcomes and thematic priorities.
- Participate in quality assurance processes, including fact-checking, formatting, and editing content.
- Help maintain a library of knowledge products, ensuring documentation is accessible and well-organized.
