Join Generation Mental Health – Be Part of the Possibilities Collective

Generation Mental Health Association (GenMH) is excited to announce new paid, remote opportunities as part of an ambitious, youth-led global mental health initiative.

With support from the Wellcome Trust, GenMH is launching the Possibilities Collective—a groundbreaking, participatory mental health research and capacity-building program designed by and for young people with lived experience of mental health challenges (YPWLE) across the world.

The Possibilities Collective brings together an international community of young leaders and lived experience–led organizations to co-create inclusive, localized, and youth-driven responses to mental health. GenMH is now recruiting passionate and experienced individuals to join the core team supporting this work. All roles are remote, fixed-term, and come with flexible time commitments and opportunities for regional and global collaboration.

About the Possibilities Collective

The Possibilities Collective is an innovative global initiative that centers the knowledge, voices, and leadership of young people with lived experience (YPWLE) in mental health. Through a combination of community building, capacity strengthening, and co-created research, the Collective seeks to amplify youth-led solutions, build solidarity, and shift power in the global mental health ecosystem.

Open Roles – Now Hiring

1. Program Manager (1 position)

Location: Remote, Global
Contract: 100% FTE, Fixed-Term
Duration: Up to 27 months
Start Date: December 2025
Reports to: GenMH Chief Executive Officer

Role Overview:
The Program Manager will provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Possibilities Collective. This includes overseeing network coordination, platform development, program delivery, and team management. The role offers a unique opportunity to lead international collaboration, work closely with young changemakers, and advance youth-led mental health research and advocacy globally.

2. Regional Manager (1 position per region)

Location: Remote, Global
Contract: 16 hours/month, Fixed-Term
Duration: Up to 27 months
Start Date: January 2026
Reports to: Program Manager

Role Overview:
The Regional Manager will ensure coordination and alignment across regional teams, support implementation of Collective activities, and manage regional partnerships. They will act as a vital connector between the global team, regional stakeholders, and local communities, helping amplify YPWLE voices and foster collaboration at multiple levels.

3. Community Engagement Lead (1 position per region)

Location: Remote, Global
Contract: 12 hours/month, Fixed-Term
Duration: Up to 27 months
Start Date: January 2026
Reports to: Regional Manager

Role Overview:
The Community Engagement Lead will foster inclusive, welcoming spaces within the Collective, cultivating relationships among YPWLE members and organizations. They will design participatory onboarding and engagement strategies, co-create meaningful opportunities for connection, and promote a culture of care, access, and solidarity across diverse identities and experiences.

4. Learning Lead (1 position per region – Note: North Africa and South Asia roles already filled)

Location: Remote, Global
Contract: 12 hours/month, Fixed-Term
Duration: Up to 27 months
Start Date: January 2026
Reports to: Regional Manager

Role Overview:
The Learning Lead will manage the design and delivery of the Collective’s self-guided learning platform and educational resources. They will ensure all materials are trauma-informed, youth-friendly, and culturally relevant to regional contexts. The role includes ongoing support to help young learners navigate and apply program content.

5. Professional Development Programs Lead (1 position per region)

Location: Remote, Global
Contract: 12 hours/month, Fixed-Term
Duration: Up to 27 months
Start Date: January 2026
Reports to: Regional Manager

Role Overview:
The Professional Development Programs Lead will strengthen regional capacity through the design and coordination of internships, mentorships, and grant opportunities tailored for YPWLE and lived experience–led organizations. The role includes overseeing application processes, supporting program implementation, and ensuring alignment with the Collective’s values and goals.
