Fully Funded One Youth Young Leaders Scholarship 2026 Program for Young Nigerians
The One Youth Young Leaders Scholarship Program is a transformative, faith-based initiative by One Youth Global, created to invest in Africa’s future by raising a new generation of godly, visionary, and impact-driven young leaders. Rooted in strong spiritual and moral values, this scholarship is not just about academic support it is a mission to empower young minds to lead with purpose and integrity.
This initiative recognizes the immense potential within Africa’s youth. According to World Bank projections, by the year 2050, Africa will have the largest workforce in the world.
Harnessing this demographic dividend will require intentional leadership development, particularly among young people who are committed to driving sustainable change in their communities. The One Youth Young Leaders Scholarship Program is designed to meet this need by equipping high-achieving students with both academic and leadership support.
Purpose and Vision
The scholarship’s central vision is to prepare students to become problem solvers, thought leaders, and nation builders—anchored in godly values. It targets passionate and intelligent young Africans studying in Nigerian public universities, offering them the tools and resources to thrive academically while building strong leadership foundations.
By investing in these students, One Youth Global aims to shape individuals who will go on to influence their fields—from governance and education to business, technology, and ministry—while staying rooted in their faith.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive a comprehensive package that includes:
- Full Tuition Coverage: Payment of full tuition fees for any accredited public university in Nigeria
- Living Allowance: Support for basic living expenses during the course of study
- Leadership Development: Access to mentorship, spiritual formation, and leadership training programs
- Faith-Based Community Engagement: Opportunities to participate in One Youth Global events, retreats, and community service projects
- Networking Opportunities: Connection to a growing network of Christian student leaders and professionals across Africa
The program is designed to support students throughout their academic journey while preparing them for real-world leadership rooted in Christian principles.
Who Is Eligible?
The One Youth Young Leaders Scholarship is highly competitive and is open to students who meet the following basic criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled in a Nigerian public university (federal or state)
- Must have attained a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.5 or higher on a 5.0 scale
- Must demonstrate Christian faith and values, with a passion for servant leadership
- Must show evidence of community engagement or leadership potential
- Must be willing to actively participate in One Youth Global leadership programs
Applicants from all fields of study are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the academic and character requirements.
Application Process
Interested candidates are encouraged to prepare and submit the following documents:
- Academic Transcript showing CGPA of 4.5 and above
- Proof of Enrollment from a Nigerian public university
- Personal Statement (max 500 words) outlining:
- Faith journey and relationship with God
- Leadership experience or aspirations
- Vision for impacting their community or country
- Reference Letter from a pastor, campus fellowship leader, or academic advisor
Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview or screening as part of the selection process. Final recipients will be notified via email and must commit to the values and expectations of the scholarship.
