- Meet all admissions requirements for the graduate program of interest at U of T
- Have strong English language proficiency, both written and spoken

Application Process
The application process for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Toronto consists of two main steps:

Candidates must first apply to an eligible graduate program at the University of Toronto. Each program has its own application deadlines and admission requirements, so applicants should begin this process as early as possible. - Apply for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program
Once a university application is submitted, candidates can then complete a separate application for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. This includes submitting:- A personal statement or essay outlining goals and motivations
- Proof of financial need
- Academic transcripts
- Letters of recommendation
Applicants are encouraged to highlight their past contributions to community health and their plans to support health innovation in Africa after graduation.
