The Women’s Impact Alliance (WIA) is inviting applications for a Communications & Fundraising Manager to advance its mission of empowering women leaders driving social and environmental change worldwide. This part-time, remote position is based in the United States and requires candidates to be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

The role blends two core areas of responsibility: communications and fundraising/development. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic storyteller and brand custodian while also supporting WIA’s financial sustainability through donor engagement, campaign management, and grant coordination. Reporting to the Executive Director, the manager will play a key role in amplifying WIA’s work and mission.

Key Responsibilities

Communications:
The Communications & Fundraising Manager will develop and implement an integrated communications strategy aligned with WIA’s program and fundraising goals. Responsibilities include managing the content calendar, crafting newsletters in Mailchimp, running WIA’s social media presence on Instagram and LinkedIn, and collaborating with digital marketing agencies and designers. The manager will also oversee communications for flagship WIA events such as Global Ignite and Empower Hour, ensuring high-quality messaging, logistics, speaker coordination, promotion, and follow-up. Serving as the organization’s “keeper of the brand,” the manager ensures all messaging aligns with WIA’s style guide.

Fundraising & Development:
On the fundraising front, the manager will partner with the Executive Director to design and implement three annual campaigns, managing donor communications, campaign tracking, and stewardship. Duties include maintaining WIA’s CRM system, updating donor data, preparing personalized acknowledgments, assisting with grant proposals and deadlines, and conducting donor research. The manager will also help plan engagement events to strengthen donor relationships and grow WIA’s funding base. Monitoring campaign performance, reporting insights, and using data to inform future strategies are critical aspects of the role.

Qualifications

WIA seeks a highly organized and self-motivated professional with at least five years of experience in nonprofit or impact-driven organizations, demonstrating success in both communications and fundraising. Candidates should have:

  • 2–3 years of experience in marketing or donor communications, with strong writing skills to craft compelling narratives.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship strategies, or annual giving initiatives.
  • Experience managing donor CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Bloomerang) and familiarity with grant coordination.
  • Proficiency with newsletter platforms, social media campaigns, and digital engagement strategies.
  • A strong design sensibility, with experience using tools like Canva, and the ability to collaborate effectively with graphic designers.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative, relationship-oriented approach and a deep passion for WIA’s mission.

Benefits

The role offers a flexible and supportive environment, including:

  • Six months of leadership coaching
  • Unlimited time off (subject to manager approval)
  • Opportunities for professional development through internal and external learning programs

How to Apply

Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter via email to [email protected], ensuring the subject line includes “Communications & Fundraising Manager.” Only candidates living in the U.S. and legally authorized to work without sponsorship will be considered.

The Communications & Fundraising Manager is a unique opportunity to support a mission-driven organization at the intersection of communications, social impact, and development. The role is ideal for strategic thinkers who are passionate about women’s leadership, skilled in storytelling, and experienced in donor engagement.
