Empowering Youth-Led Solutions for a Better World
In celebration of International Youth Day 2025, YOUTHTOPIA is once again recognizing and supporting the work of young changemakers through its Mini Grants Program. Now in its fifth year, the program continues to provide financial support to youth-led initiatives that are transforming communities, driving sustainable change, and addressing real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year, three outstanding youth-led projects will be awarded mini grants of up to USD $1,500 each, providing critical funding to turn bold ideas into reality.
Who Should Apply?
YOUTHTOPIA welcomes applications from:
- Young changemakers aged 14 to 25 years
- Individuals or groups with a clearly defined project or solution
- Applicants whose solutions address one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals
- Youth who are committed to creating tangible, positive change in their communities
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the 2025 Mini Grants, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be between 14 and 25 years old
- Apply either individually or as part of a group
- Propose a solution or project aligned with the SDGs
- Demonstrate that the project will reach at least 100 beneficiaries, either directly or indirectly
- Ensure the project is scalable and executable within a six-month timeline using the provided grant amount
- Be prepared to start and complete the project before April 2026
- Have reliable internet access to participate in follow-up interviews or check-ins
- Complete the application in English
- Be registered on the YOUTHTOPIA learning platform at www.youthtopia.education

YOUTHTOPIA strongly encourages creative, grassroots, and community-based ideas that reflect the applicant’s authentic experiences and personal vision for change.
What YOUTHTOPIA is Looking For
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Impact: The extent to which the project can affect at least 100 people and make a meaningful difference
- Feasibility: The project’s ability to be implemented within six months using the available funds
- Scalability: The potential for the project to grow beyond its initial scope
- Originality: Innovative, locally driven solutions that reflect the applicant’s voice and leadership
- Alignment: Clear connection to the United Nations SDGs
Successful applicants will demonstrate clear goals, actionable plans, and a passionate commitment to service.
Timeline & Key Dates
- Application Deadline: 12th September 2025, 11:59 PM SGT
- Grant Implementation Period: Project activities must begin after grant selection and be completed no later than April 2026 (6 months maximum)
Applications must be submitted through the official online form. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Additional Information
The Mini Grants Program is more than financial support—it’s a gateway to a global network of young leaders and change agents. Selected grantees may also receive access to mentorship, storytelling support, and potential visibility opportunities through YOUTHTOPIA’s global platforms.
All applicants must also be prepared to participate in virtual check-ins and reporting throughout the grant period.
