The African Group of Negotiators Experts Support (AGNES), in strategic partnership with the International Leadership University-Kenya (ILU), proudly announces the launch of a transformative capacity-building initiative the Certificate Course in Climate Change, Sustainability, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (CCS-ESG).

This 12-month professional development programme is designed to build a new generation of African leaders equipped to navigate the complex intersections of climate change, sustainability, and ESG principles. Delivered entirely online, the course offers a unique opportunity for professionals across sectors to gain high-impact knowledge and tools essential for shaping Africa’s sustainable and climate-resilient future.

Programme Overview

The CCS-ESG Certificate Course provides a multidisciplinary approach to climate change and ESG integration. Participants will explore core concepts in sustainability science, climate finance, policy frameworks, ESG disclosure standards, and the implementation of inclusive and resilient development practices across Africa.

The programme leverages the combined expertise of AGNES — a recognized voice in climate negotiations and policy development — and ILU, an institution committed to ethical leadership and transformative education in Africa.
