Advocate Health Administrative Fellowship Program 2025 – Developing Tomorrow’s Healthcare Leaders

In 2022, Atrium Health and Advocate Aurora Health united to form Advocate Health, creating one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the country. This merger was driven by a shared vision: to improve healthcare outcomes, increase accessibility, and deliver affordable care to more communities. Through this powerful partnership, Advocate Health is committed to shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders via the Administrative Fellowship Program.
The program builds on over 40 years of combined experience across four brands: Atrium Health, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Aurora Health Care, and Advocate Health Care. This one-year, postgraduate, project-based fellowship is tailored for individuals seeking hands-on experience in healthcare administration, strategy, and operations.
Fellowship Overview
Each year, Advocate Health selects a cohort of fellows to participate in a structured, immersive leadership development program. Under the mentorship of seasoned preceptors and healthcare executives, fellows gain exposure to diverse operational and strategic areas. Participants are placed in one of five locations across the Midwest and Southeast, where they work on high-impact projects aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities.
Fellows lead initiatives that directly support Advocate Health’s mission: to improve health, elevate hope, and advance healing – for all. In addition to assigned projects, fellows have the flexibility to explore interests in areas such as operations, finance, strategy, quality, human resources, and business development.
Program Highlights
