1. Deputy Director of Programmes
The Deputy Director of Programmes will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the Foundation’s strategic initiatives. This role requires a highly experienced programme leader capable of overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of diverse, high-impact programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead programme development and management across strategic areas of public sector reform and leadership development.
- Oversee budgeting, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the Foundation’s mission and impact targets.
- Supervise and mentor programme team members to maintain excellence and innovation.
Eligibility and Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in programme management, preferably in international development, public policy, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (Master’s level or higher) in Public Administration, Development Studies, Policy, or a related discipline.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and stakeholder engagement expertise.
2. Team Lead, Capacity Building
The Foundation is looking for a visionary and practical expert to lead its capacity-building portfolio. The Team Lead will design, coordinate, and manage learning initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional and leadership capacity in Africa’s public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement training and capacity-building programmes for civil servants and public institutions.
- Engage with government stakeholders to assess needs and tailor initiatives for maximum relevance and impact.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programmes.
- Manage partnerships with academic institutions, facilitators, and delivery partners.
Eligibility and Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in training, capacity building, or learning and development, preferably within the public or nonprofit sector.
- A postgraduate degree in Education, Human Resource Development, Public Policy, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in adult learning design and instructional strategy.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead collaborative initiatives.
3. Graphics Design & Digital Communications Associate
The Foundation seeks a creative and technically skilled associate to support its visual communications and digital outreach. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design and storytelling who understands how to engage audiences through compelling digital content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-quality graphics for digital and print materials including reports, social media assets, brochures, and presentations.
- Support the digital marketing team in developing visual content for campaigns, events, and programme highlights.
- Manage visual brand consistency across all media.
- Assist with basic video editing and motion graphics where needed.
Eligibility and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Strong understanding of design principles, visual hierarchy, and digital communication trends.
- Portfolio of previous work showcasing a variety of styles and formats.
4. Communications Associate
The Communications Associate will play a critical role in driving awareness, engagement, and understanding of the Foundation’s work. This role suits a highly motivated and articulate communicator who is skilled in content development, media relations, and digital storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to promote the Foundation’s initiatives and impact.
- Draft press releases, newsletters, website content, and social media updates.
- Support media relations, press engagements, and event communications.
- Monitor and report on communication performance metrics.
Eligibility and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a communications role, preferably in a nonprofit, development, or government sector.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Experience with content management systems, digital analytics, and social media platforms.
