Overview

Vitala Global Foundation is inviting applications for the position of Operations Lead. This part-time, remote opportunity is designed for a bilingual (English and Spanish) professional with a strong background in organizational operations, strategic implementation, and cross-cultural collaboration. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in scaling Vitala’s internal systems, culture, and operational capacity—laying the foundation for potential promotion to Director of Operations.

Vitala Global is a mission-driven nonprofit organization that uses digital innovation to reimagine access to reproductive healthcare. At its core is the commitment to reproductive justice, equity, and care—particularly for women, girls, and gender-diverse people experiencing displacement or restricted access to services.

Position Summary

Title: Operations Lead (with growth potential to Director of Operations)
Type: Part-time (approx. 100 hours/month)
Compensation: USD $3,500–$3,700/month
Location: Fully Remote (must have availability overlapping with Eastern Standard Time)

Key Responsibilities

The Operations Lead will partner closely with the CEO and Director of Finance to strengthen internal operations and team cohesion. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Operational Leadership: Designing and improving internal systems, workflows, and tools to support team efficiency and organizational growth.
  • Strategic Implementation: Translating high-level strategic goals into actionable plans and supporting project execution across teams.
  • Team Culture and Development: Supporting inclusive, feminist work culture through internal communication, performance processes, and team development initiatives.
  • Compliance and Risk Oversight: Ensuring organizational practices meet compliance and regulatory standards in global operational contexts.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaising with other team leads to align operations with programmatic, technological, and financial goals.

Qualifications and Competencies

The ideal candidate brings both operational expertise and a deep commitment to reproductive justice and equity. Essential qualifications include:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in nonprofit operations, program management, or organizational development
  • Demonstrated experience managing remote and multicultural teams
  • Strong knowledge of digital tools for collaboration, project management, and operational tracking
  • Experience with compliance oversight, organizational risk management, or HR systems (international contexts preferred)
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and intercultural collaboration skills
  • Passion for feminist leadership, inclusivity, and global reproductive rights
