1. Benefits and Entitlements (B&E) and Payroll Officer
Role Overview:
The B&E and Payroll Officer will manage the Fund’s payroll systems, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of salaries and benefits. The role supports compliance with internal policies, international best practices, and applicable regulations regarding compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer payroll processing and coordinate monthly disbursements.
- Maintain employee data related to salaries, allowances, deductions, and benefits.
- Liaise with Finance and HR to ensure payroll accuracy and timely reporting.
- Resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax and social security regulations.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in payroll or employee benefits administration, preferably in an international organization.
- Strong knowledge of international payroll systems and taxation rules.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
2. Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
Role Overview:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will support the implementation and oversight of M&E frameworks to assess the effectiveness of GCF-funded projects and programs. The role is central to enhancing accountability, learning, and decision-making across GCF’s portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement monitoring tools and evaluation strategies.
- Collect and analyze performance data to assess project outcomes.
- Work with implementing partners to ensure M&E compliance.
- Draft M&E reports, including lessons learned and strategic recommendations.
- Support evaluation missions and capacity-building initiatives.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Evaluation, Economics, Development Studies, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- At least seven years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience with climate finance or international development projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with logical frameworks, performance indicators, and qualitative/quantitative analysis tools.
3. Economic and Finance Structuring Specialist (Two Positions)
Role Overview:
These two positions will play a critical role in structuring innovative financial instruments to support climate-related investments. The specialists will contribute to the design, appraisal, and implementation of investment proposals in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structure and review financial models and proposals for climate investments.
- Lead financial due diligence and risk assessment processes.
- Collaborate with accredited entities to ensure financial viability of proposed projects.
- Develop innovative finance mechanisms (e.g., blended finance, guarantees).
- Provide strategic input on funding proposals and investment strategies.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of eight years of experience in financial structuring, investment banking, or climate finance.
- Proven experience in financial modeling and project finance.
- Strong knowledge of climate-related investment and risk management tools.
4. Investigations Officer
Role Overview:
The Investigations Officer will support the Office of the Executive Director by conducting internal investigations into allegations of misconduct, fraud, corruption, and other violations. The position contributes to maintaining organizational integrity and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations into allegations of misconduct.
- Draft investigation plans, reports, and recommendations.
- Ensure investigative processes adhere to due process and organizational policies.
- Coordinate with legal and HR departments as necessary.
- Promote awareness on anti-fraud, ethics, and conduct policies.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Criminology, Public Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in investigations, audit, compliance, or legal roles.
- Strong knowledge of international administrative law and investigative methodologies.
- Experience within international organizations or multilateral settings is advantageous.
5. Senior Team Assistant (Talent Pool)
Note: This is a talent pool position. Successful applicants may be considered for multiple upcoming vacancies within the administrative support function.
Role Overview:
The Senior Team Assistant will provide high-level administrative and logistical support to GCF teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of program activities and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Prepare documentation, correspondence, and reports.
- Organize workshops, conferences, and team events.
- Maintain filing systems and office databases.
- Support procurement and budget monitoring processes.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Secondary education required; a diploma or training in administration or office management is an asset.
- At least five years of experience in administrative or executive support.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Experience in international or multicultural work environments preferred.
