Consultancy Overview

Under the guidance of the Director of Creative & Communications, the Social Media Ad Producer will lead the ideation and production of short-form digital video content. This role is central to shaping the visual expression of the Rainforest Alliance across online platforms, including advertisements, campaigns, and web content.

This consultancy is rooted in innovation, storytelling, and digital fluency. The ideal candidate is not only a skilled editor and producer but also a proactive creator who understands how to adapt messaging into engaging, platform-native videos.

Scope of Work

Main Objectives:

  • Independently develop and produce digital-native ad content aligned with the organization’s mission and brand voice.
  • Generate bold and engaging content ideas rooted in current creative and cultural trends.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to align on strategy, tone, and direction.
  • Produce visually compelling assets that can be used across various digital environments (e.g., websites, YouTube, paid ads).

Key Activities:

  • Pitch 1–2 content themes or series each month.
  • Produce 6–10 high-quality short videos or ads (15–90 seconds) monthly, each with a clear call to action.
  • Repurpose existing campaign and brand materials into short-form video formats enhanced with dynamic text, motion graphics, and sound design.
  • Stay current with evolving video trends and incorporate best practices into creative concepts.
  • Participate in biweekly strategy check-ins.

Expected Deliverables:

  • A minimum of 6 original video ads per month, suitable for paid media and multi-channel deployment.
  • Creative themes or mini-campaigns pitched monthly.
  • Edited videos delivered in various formats, including 16:9 and 9:16, with and without subtitles.
  • Completed content aligned with the organization’s storytelling goals and visual guidelines.

Proposal Requirements

Applicants must submit the following as a single PDF document:

Technical Proposal:

  • A short bio and CV outlining relevant experience and expertise.
  • Links to 2–3 samples of previous video work (especially brand, social, or mission-driven content).
  • Contact information for two recent clients or collaborators.

Financial Proposal:

  • Rate per short-form video, clearly stating what is included (e.g., versions, revisions, subtitles).
  • Breakdown of any additional costs (e.g., music licensing, voiceover, stock footage).
  • All rates must be listed in USD.

Proposals must be complete, clearly formatted, and submitted before the July 15, 2025 deadline. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Selection Criteria

The Rainforest Alliance will assess proposals based on:

  • Creativity and originality of past work
  • Relevance of experience in digital storytelling and brand-aligned video production
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality content on time
  • Value for cost and clarity of pricing structure
  • Responsiveness to project scope and alignment with Rainforest Alliance values

Only individual applicants will be considered—team submissions will not be accepted. The selected consultant must be legally authorized to work in their current country of residence and provide any required legal documents upon request.

Finalists will be notified of their selection by July 30, 2025.
