Danish Cultural Institute Seeks Project Coordinator for Kenya Programmes – Apply Before 4 August 2025

The Danish Cultural Institute (DCI) is expanding its global presence with a new regional focus on the African continent. As part of this strategic initiative, DCI is hiring an experienced Project Coordinator to lead and manage programmes in Kenya and East Africa. This full-time role offers a dynamic opportunity to help shape cultural cooperation and sustainable development through impactful international partnerships.

Since its founding in 1940, DCI has worked to foster mutual understanding across borders through art, culture, and dialogue. The Institute believes that cultural exchange is a vital tool for promoting equality, democracy, and global cooperation. With current activities across Europe, Asia, and Latin America, DCI is now turning its focus toward East Africa—with Kenya as the central hub for a new wave of development-focused cultural programming.

About the Role

The Project Coordinator will play a central role in launching and managing DCI’s initiatives in Kenya. The successful candidate will bring a strong track record in international project management, with demonstrated experience in development cooperation, strategic partnerships, and cross-cultural collaboration.

This position requires a deep understanding of DANIDA-funded programmes and/or similar development aid frameworks. The coordinator will oversee the full project lifecycle—from design and budgeting to implementation, monitoring, and reporting—ensuring that cultural initiatives align with both DCI’s vision and the needs of local partners.
