The Global Hart Internship is an immersive, remote learning experience designed for emerging professionals interested in global health, nonprofit leadership, and humanitarian work. This fall internship, running from August to November 2025, provides participants with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build professional skills, and contribute directly to impactful global health initiatives.

About the Program

Global Hart’s internship fosters the development of future leaders in global health by placing them in a team-based, project-driven environment. Interns commit approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, which includes a structured 3-hour virtual session every Tuesday featuring expert guest speakers, collaborative workshops, and project updates. The remainder of the time is dedicated to self-directed work on active organizational projects.

Interns are integrated into the operational framework of Global Hart through participation in internal committee meetings and gradual engagement in leadership roles. This model is designed to simulate real-world nonprofit operations, emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

This mentorship framework ensures each participant receives tailored support that aligns with their career aspirations and personal learning objectives.

Meaningful Project Work

Global Hart interns contribute directly to ongoing initiatives across the organization’s priority areas. Whether working on communication strategies, policy analysis, fundraising campaigns, or educational content, interns play an integral role in advancing the organization’s mission.

Importantly, interns maintain authorship and ownership of the work they contribute. Contributions are credited and may be featured across Global Hart’s platforms, including newsletters, reports, and public-facing campaigns.

Professional Development and Public Presentation

Beyond practical experience, the Global Hart Internship emphasizes professional visibility and impact. At the conclusion of the internship, each participant presents their project during a public virtual showcase.
