The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) is calling for applications for a Partnerships and Fundraising Consultant, a senior-level, remote position aimed at reshaping and advancing the organization’s fundraising efforts.
This role is crucial to identifying and cultivating relationships with alternative funders, ethical partners, and aligned networks to ensure WILPF’s long-term sustainability in accordance with its feminist values, mission for peace, and commitment to human rights.

Consultancy Overview: Building Feminist Funding Pathways
The Partnerships and Fundraising Consultant will play a strategic role in strengthening WILPF’s funding model by introducing innovative and ethically sound revenue streams, deepening existing donor relationships, and tapping into new funding ecosystems that align with the organization’s principles.
This consultancy involves both high-level strategy and hands-on development work, with deliverables that range from proposal development to the creation of outreach materials and networking at donor events. It will require independent leadership, strategic foresight, and a deep alignment with feminist and social justice values.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
The consultant will work closely with WILPF’s Secretary-General and the Fundraising Working Group. Major responsibilities include:
- Reviewing WILPF’s existing fundraising frameworks and identifying new, values-aligned donors
- Initiating and nurturing partnerships with like-minded civil society groups for collaborative funding approaches
- Introducing WILPF leadership to donor networks and entry points
- Identifying communities of practice and spaces of influence relevant to feminist fundraising
- Creating targeted outreach materials tailored to distinct donor audiences
- Developing proposals in collaboration with program staff and relevant sections
- Tracking and reporting progress, with weekly and fortnightly updates
- Advising on fundraising event participation, including donor conferences and strategic networking opportunities
Required Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will bring a decade or more of experience in nonprofit fundraising, preferably with a strong feminist lens and a background in human rights or peace-building organizations.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven success in securing six- and seven-figure funding commitments
- Demonstrated expertise in feminist and values-based partnerships
- Extensive knowledge of the current global funding landscape, particularly donors aligned with WILPF’s mission
- Strong proposal writing and communication skills in English (fluency in French or other languages is a plus)
- Experience engaging with international membership-based organizations or networks
- Comfortable working across cultures, with high levels of integrity, political sensitivity, and discretion
- Proficiency in digital tools and fundraising databases

Work Schedule and Location
