1. Communications Lead
Location: Remote (Preferred: Tanzania, Kenya, or UK)

Lion Landscapes is looking for a strategic, highly organised, and proactive Communications Lead to oversee all aspects of internal and external communications. This key leadership role is responsible for shaping the organisation’s narrative, maintaining brand consistency across platforms, and driving impactful storytelling to a range of audiences including donors, partners, and the general public.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing an integrated communications strategy
- Managing digital content and editorial calendars across social media, website, newsletters, and reports
- Line-managing the Digital Communications Assistant
- Acting as a spokesperson when needed
- Strengthening internal communications processes to ensure alignment across teams
- Monitoring analytics and adapting content strategies for audience engagement
Ideal candidates will bring experience in media, journalism, or digital communications within the conservation or non-profit sector, and have a passion for using storytelling to elevate conservation efforts. Strong written and visual content skills are essential.
2. Senior Fundraising Lead
Location: Remote (Preferred: Tanzania, Kenya, or UK)

Lion Landscapes is recruiting a seasoned and dynamic Senior Fundraising Lead to design and execute a robust fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation by cultivating diverse income streams.
Core responsibilities include:
- Leading fundraising strategy and implementation across institutional funding, individual giving, and innovative streams
- Identifying, cultivating, and stewarding relationships with donors and funding partners
- Aligning fundraising efforts with the strategic priorities of Lion Landscapes
- Ensuring all fundraising practices meet ethical standards and transparency
- Representing the organisation at fundraising events and within partner networks
Applicants should demonstrate a successful track record in securing grants and major gifts, experience in managing donor relationships, and the ability to think creatively about growth opportunities in both traditional and emerging funding models.
3. Conservation Capacity Development Lead
Location: Primarily field-based in Iringa, Tanzania, with travel to Rufiji and Pwani

Lion Landscapes is seeking a highly motivated Conservation Capacity Development Lead to strengthen its conservation programming in Tanzania. This field-based role focuses on building the skills and capabilities of conservation managers and field teams through coaching, mentoring, and program support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and implementation of community-based conservation projects
- Mentoring field teams in adaptive management, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement
- Ensuring alignment of field activities with the organisation’s broader conservation goals
- Contributing to learning, documentation, and improvement of conservation strategies
Candidates should have a strong background in conservation leadership, experience working with rural communities, and a demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective capacity-building programs. Familiarity with the East African conservation landscape and Swahili language skills are advantageous.
