The Pleasure Fellowship 2025 – Open To Individuals Around The World

Welcome, Pleasure Champion!
The Pleasure Project is excited to announce applications for the 2025 Pleasure Fellowship—a unique, global opportunity for changemakers who are passionate about pleasure-inclusive sexual health. If you’re eager to amplify pleasure as a fundamental part of health, rights, and wellbeing, this fellowship is designed just for you.
This program supports individuals from around the world in building knowledge, sharpening advocacy skills, and implementing innovative projects that center pleasure in sexual health and rights work.
What Is the Pleasure Fellowship?
The Pleasure Fellowship is a six-month, virtual learning and collaboration program that brings together a cohort of passionate individuals working to shift the sexual health and rights landscape by putting pleasure at the center. Whether you’re a practitioner, researcher, activist, educator, or creative, this is your chance to grow, connect, and drive change in your community—and beyond.
The 2025 fellowship will run from November 2025 through April 2026, with all sessions conducted online.
Over the course of the program, fellows will:
- Participate in 6 to 8 themed online group learning sessions led by global experts
- Receive individual mentorship through at least two one-on-one mentoring sessions
- Develop and refine a pleasure-inclusive project idea to implement after the learning phase
- Join a vibrant community of peers dedicated to changing narratives around sex, health, and pleasure
Fellowship Project Support
Following the initial six-month learning phase, fellows will have the opportunity to put their ideas into action. Each fellow can apply for up to $1,500 USD in project funding to bring their proposal to life. Projects can take many forms, including but not limited to:
- Writing a blog series or research article
- Hosting community dialogues or workshops
- Launching a podcast
- Conducting interviews or assessments within your organization
- Piloting creative, arts-based advocacy campaigns
We encourage creativity, innovation, and community-rooted approaches. The only requirement is that your project promotes pleasure-inclusive sexual health and rights.
Who Should Apply?
We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and regions who are committed to advocating for pleasure-positive, inclusive, and rights-based approaches to sexual health. You might be:
- A youth advocate or educator
- A sexual health or rights practitioner
- A researcher, writer, or content creator
- A community organizer or public health worker
- A member of an LGBTQIA+ or other marginalized community
- Someone working within a local organization seeking to shift internal practices
Applicants should have a working knowledge of English, as all fellowship sessions will be held in English. However, we do not expect perfect grammar or polished academic writing in your application. We are far more interested in your ideas, passion, and lived experience than in perfect language. Please feel comfortable expressing yourself authentically.
Accessibility and Inclusion
The Pleasure Project is committed to ensuring the fellowship application process is as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you face any barriers or require specific support to complete your application, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We will do our best to provide the assistance you need to submit your application with ease and confidence.

We expect to select a maximum of 15 fellows for the 2025 cohort. If you are selected, you’ll be joining a growing global network of Pleasure Fellows who are actively working to reframe the way we talk about, teach, and experience sexual health.
Why This Fellowship Matters
For too long, sexual health programming has focused primarily on disease prevention, risk, and pathology—often ignoring or stigmatizing pleasure. The Pleasure Project believes that pleasure is not a luxury—it’s a right, a source of power, and an essential part of wellbeing.
By investing in emerging leaders who are ready to center pleasure in their work, we are collectively building a more joyful, inclusive, and effective movement for sexual and reproductive rights.
