About the Gates Foundation
We are the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty, disease, and inequity. Built on the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to live a healthy, productive life, we operate through partnerships across sectors to advance sustainable and inclusive development. The Team
The Malaria Program Strategy Team (PST) focuses on the global eradication of malaria a disease that causes over 250 million cases and more than 500,000 deaths annually. We invest in innovation, research, and delivery systems to shorten the path to eradication. Our three-fold approach includes:
- Investing in development and deployment of breakthrough tools
- Supporting scalable innovations to reduce malaria burden
- Building resilience against resistance to diagnostics, treatments, and vector control tools
A cornerstone of our work is improving the targeting and performance of interventions through data, modeling, and next-generation technologies such as molecular surveillance and digital program delivery.
