GIZ Kenya Internship & Entry-Level Opportunities 2025

GIZ Kenya is currently offering several internship and entry-level positions across various departments. Below are the available roles:
1. Technical Advisor – Promotion of Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Application Deadline: 12 June 2025
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship.
- Experience in working with youth and women entrepreneurs is an advantage.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement strategies to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among youth and women.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create an enabling environment for entrepreneurship.
- Provide technical advice and support to partners and beneficiaries.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions.
2. Administrative Intern (AWE Program)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Application Deadline: 10 June 2025
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the AWE program team.
- Assist in organizing meetings, events, and workshops.
- Prepare and process documents and reports.
- Maintain records and files in accordance with GIZ standards.
3. Technical Intern – AgSys Project
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Application Deadline: 12 June 2025
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, or Sustainability-related fields.
- Recent graduate (within one year of completion).
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the AgSys project team in executing various interventions.
- Assist in developing concept notes, programs, and presentations.
- Participate in planning and execution of activities along the various outputs.
- Contribute to knowledge management and communication.
4. Technical Intern – i4Ag Machinery Ring
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Application Deadline: 12 June 2025
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Recent graduate (within one year of completion).
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
Responsibilities:
- Support the i4Ag Machinery Ring project team in implementing activities.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Participate in training and capacity-building initiatives.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Academic Qualifications: Possess the required degree as specified for each position.
- Experience: Relevant work or internship experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Kiswahili is an added advantage.
- Availability: Candidates must be available for the full duration of the internship or entry-level position.
