Elrha is currently recruiting two Grants & Procurement Officers to join its Grant Operations & Finance team. These roles offer a unique opportunity for detail-oriented professionals to contribute to humanitarian impact through effective grants and procurement administration. The positions are fixed-term until 31 March 2026.

Role Overview
As a Grants & Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in Elrha’s funding cycle. Your responsibilities will include the full lifecycle management of grants from due diligence checks and contractual setup to processing payments and ensuring compliance. You will also support procurement processes for third-party suppliers and consultants. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete a variety of award management activities.
- Conduct due diligence on potential grantees and suppliers, assessing risks and ensuring eligibility.
- Draft, review, and issue grant agreements and procurement contracts.
- Support financial operations related to grants, such as processing grant payments and tracking expenditure.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of grant-making and procurement systems and processes.
- Act as the first point of contact for queries from grantees and partners, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Maintain clear and accurate records using Elrha’s grant management system.
- Support audit and reporting processes through accurate documentation and process adherence.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments including finance, programs, and research.
Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, candidates must be proactive, organised, and collaborative. Elrha is particularly interested in candidates who enjoy problem-solving and are passionate about improving systems to drive efficiency and impact.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in grants management and/or contract administration.
- Proven ability to maintain, monitor, and improve operational processes.
- Experience conducting due diligence and risk assessments on external parties.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and basic numeracy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals from diverse cultures and professional backgrounds.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the capacity to exercise good judgment.
- A genuine interest in the humanitarian and development sectors, demonstrated through prior academic, professional, or voluntary experience.
Desirable Skills
- Experience coordinating financial transactions such as invoicing or grant disbursements.
- Understanding of procurement procedures within the context of not-for-profit or international development organisations.
Working Environment and Benefits
Elrha offers a flexible and supportive working environment. The organisation supports remote working as standard, with access to office space in London, Cardiff, Manchester, or Edinburgh, if preferred or needed. Occasional in-person team meetings and away days are expected.
