Christian Rural and Urban Development Association of Nigeria (CRUDAN) is a Christian, non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to promoting sustainable development across Nigeria. With a focus on community empowerment, CRUDAN works to improve food security, household nutrition, economic justice, environmental stewardship, disaster risk reduction, conflict transformation, and humanitarian assistance regardless of faith, gender, or ethnicity.

As part of its mission, CRUDAN is implementing a pilot project addressing the root causes of conflict, resource competition, and environmental degradation through a live fencing initiative. This innovative approach aims to promote climate resilience and peaceful coexistence by ensuring equitable access to well-managed natural resources among farmers, livestock owners, and herders.

In support of this initiative, CRUDAN is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the following key roles:

1. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer

Reports to: Project Coordinator
Team: Programme Management Team

Key Responsibilities:

The MEAL Officer will oversee the development and implementation of a field-level MEAL system to track project performance, support adaptive learning, and promote accountability to stakeholders and beneficiaries.

  • Design and update monitoring and evaluation tools aligned with project goals.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data on project activities, outcomes, and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate baseline surveys and ensure community participation in data collection and feedback mechanisms.
  • Develop and implement systems for accountability, including feedback and complaints mechanisms.
  • Document learning and support knowledge sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular field visits to verify data, support project teams, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Produce periodic reports and presentations to communicate progress and impact.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in MEAL within development or humanitarian projects.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools such as SPSS, STATA, Excel, KoboToolbox, or ODK.
  • Experience in data visualization and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to work in diverse cultural settings and under challenging conditions.
  • Fluent in English and Hausa (additional local languages a plus).
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and team collaboration skills.

2. Communications Support (Social Media Manager / Graphics Designer)

Reports to: Project Coordinator
Team: Programme Management Team

Objective:

The Communications Support Officer will play a vital role in strengthening CRUDAN’s visibility, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach through compelling visual content and effective digital communication strategies.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive 10-month social media strategy for the project.
  • Create and publish engaging content across platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Monitor online engagement, respond to queries, and foster a dynamic community.
  • Analyze social media performance and report on insights for improvement.

Graphics & Multimedia Design:

  • Produce high-quality graphics, infographics, and promotional materials aligned with CRUDAN’s branding.
  • Design digital flyers, event banners, and campaign visuals.
  • Support the production of short videos and animations to highlight project impact and success stories.

Deliverables:

  • Weekly and monthly content calendars.
  • Social media performance reports.
  • Graphic design portfolio and campaign materials.
  • Regular collaboration with CRUDAN’s Communications Officers to align messaging.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Proven experience in social media strategy and graphic design (portfolio required).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video editing software.
  • Excellent written and visual storytelling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Passion for development work and community empowerment.
