Position Overview

The Lead Security Monitoring and Response Analyst will be part of Mastercard’s Corporate Security organization, specifically within the Crisis Management Team. This team is dedicated to identifying, managing, and resolving computer, data, and physical security incidents on a global scale. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading incident response and emergency management activities, ensuring effective coordination across regional and global teams.

This role requires an individual who thrives under pressure, possesses excellent analytical skills, and is experienced in handling high-impact incidents with professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage global security incidents, ensuring timely and strategic response in line with established protocols.
  • Coordinate and execute crisis management operations, including the development, support, and delivery of response plans and training exercises.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during high-risk or large-scale incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams and disseminating relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional security teams to support global incident response initiatives.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of all communications, documents, and data associated with incident response.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for crisis management operations.
  • Collect, analyze, and document incident details to support timely resolution and post-incident reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in security monitoring, incident management, crisis response, or emergency management within a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in managing computer, data, and physical security incidents.
  • Outstanding communication skills, especially in high-stress situations, with experience drafting clear and effective crisis communications.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to manage teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of effective relationship-building across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Familiarity with U.S. and international data breach notification laws is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CBCP, GCIH, CISM, or CIPP are highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role in Miami, Florida is $112,000 to $187,000 USD. The total compensation package may also include an annual bonus or commissions, based on the role.
