Senior Philanthropic Advisor – Funders for a Safe Childhood ($215,000–$250,000 – Remote)

Position Overview

Funders for a Safe Childhood, an initiative powered by Panorama Global, seeks a Senior Philanthropic Advisor to lead donor engagement and strategy development for this early-stage initiative. The organization aims to combat childhood sexual violence (CSV) worldwide by driving catalytic private funding into solutions that address this global issue. The Senior Philanthropic Advisor will play a pivotal role in engaging high-net-worth individuals and institutions, developing fundraising strategies, and managing a team to achieve the initiative’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Donor Engagement: Identify, engage, and guide high-net-worth individual and institutional donors on learning journeys about CSV, strategies, and opportunities for impact. Develop and manage a portfolio of donors and leads, including individuals and foundations with a minimum capacity of six-figure commitments.
  • Program Development & Leadership: Lead the Funders for a Safe Childhood team through early-stage development of the initiative toward achievement of long-term goals. Oversee the development and maintenance of core resources to understand and orient to CSV and funding opportunities. Collaborate with field leaders to ensure the approach is built on strong partnerships and embraces diverse approaches to prevention, healing, and justice.
  • Communications & Stewardship: Oversee the development of learning and knowledge-sharing resources for donors. Maintain stewardship contacts with donors, adhering to the highest ethical standards, demonstrating empathy, and conveying sensitivity to their needs.
  • Operations & Team Management: Lead nimble and adaptable startup operations and achievement of program deliverables. Directly manage up to three team members and provide dotted-line leadership to supplemental Panorama program team members.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience, with at least seven years in management roles.
  • Proven track record of closing six- and seven-figure gifts and experience growing revenues through successful prospecting efforts.
  • Expertise in working with high-net-worth individuals, including trustees and philanthropic chief executives.
  • Strong organizational skills and discipline in stewarding donor information and maintaining database records.
  • Ability to think creatively and entrepreneurially about ways to mobilize donors and donor commitments.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language proficiencies are welcomed.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally on occasion.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $215,000 – $250,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits:
    • Hybrid work arrangement for Seattle-based employees; remote work arrangement for all other locations.
    • Flexible paid time off.
    • 16 paid holidays per year, including an organization-wide Winter Break.
    • Up to 92% employer-paid monthly premiums for employee medical coverage (depending on plan selected).
    • 401(k) safe harbor plan, with employer contribution equal to 3% salary with immediate vesting.
