Featured Grants Program: Empowering Women and Girls in the Global South
Together Women Rise is dedicated to empowering women and girls in low-income and marginalized communities in the Global South through its Featured Grants Program.
This program provides funding to organizations that focus on capacity building, program expansion, and new initiatives designed to improve the lives of women and girls facing systemic inequality. Each month, Together Women Rise highlights a different organization or project, offering valuable learning materials and promoting it across its nationwide chapters, website, newsletters, and social media platforms.
Featured Grant Program Overview
Together Women Rise is committed to supporting organizations that work towards the betterment of women and girls in low-income communities. Through the Featured Grants Program, we focus on initiatives that offer long-term, sustainable impact.
What We Fund:
- Capacity building: Helping organizations strengthen their operations to improve their impact.
- New programs: Funding for innovative initiatives that tackle urgent issues affecting women and girls.
- Program expansion: Grants for organizations looking to scale up successful programs.
Key Details of the Featured Grant:
- Grant Amount: $35,000 to $50,000, paid over a 24-month period (2 years).
- Number of Grants: We award at least 12 Featured Grants annually.
- Eligible Organizations: Organizations with operating budgets of $100,000 or above may apply.
- For capacity-building grants, organizations with budgets between $100,000 and $1 million are eligible.
- Grant Term: 24 months (2 years).
- Frequency of Grants: Organizations may receive only one Featured Grant per four-year period.
What We Do NOT Fund:
- Debt reduction.
- Grants to individuals.
- Endowments.
- Lobbying or political activities/parties.
- Election campaigns.
- Government entities.
- Building funds or campaigns.
Additionally, Together Women Rise does not support organizations involved in exclusionary practices based on religion or political affiliation or those that attempt to convert community beneficiaries to specific religious or political beliefs.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for a Featured Grant, your organization must meet ALL of Together Women Rise’s eligibility requirements. Detailed information about eligibility can be found in the Eligibility section on the application page.
2026 Featured Grant Timeline
- June 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET: Deadline for submitting all grant applications and supporting documents (no exceptions).
- November 2025: Approved grantees will be notified.
- December 2025: Notifications will be sent to organizations that were not approved.
