Fellowship Opportunity Overview

WINGS is seeking a short-term fellow to bolster its efforts in developing the organization’s regional community of members and partners in Asia and the Pacific. The fellowship will support the Regional Coordinator in executing key initiatives planned for 2025, including the launch of the Regional Working Group, capacity development sessions, and other engagement activities. These initiatives aim to enhance WINGS’ profile in the Asia-Pacific philanthropic community and promote the region’s philanthropic practices on the global stage.

Key Responsibilities

The fellow will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Support the development and expansion of the WINGS Asia-Pacific community. This includes co-designing and facilitating the launch of the WINGS Asia-Pacific Working Group and planning capacity development sessions.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of regional action plans and related strategic documents to guide the community’s work.
  • Engage in membership outreach and communication efforts, helping to coordinate and maintain relationships with members and partners.
  • Contribute to additional tasks as assigned to support the organization’s regional priorities.

Fellowship Details and Requirements

This is a virtual, paid fellowship requiring a commitment of 2 to 3 days per week (16-24 hours) over an initial four-month period, from July through October 2025. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Citizenship in, and preferably residency within, a country in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Fluency in English, with strong writing and coordination skills.
  • A keen interest in civil society, non-profit sectors, or philanthropy.
  • Self-motivation and strong organizational skills, with experience in organizing virtual and in-person meetings and events being an asset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and reliable access to the internet.
  • A global mindset with an openness to cultural and geographic diversity.
  • Eagerness to learn and gain professional experience.
  • Current enrollment in a relevant academic program is preferred but not required.
