About International Center for Community Land Trusts (CLT Center)

The International Center for Community Land Trusts (CLT Center) is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization founded in 2018 to advance the use of community land trusts and similar community-led development strategies worldwide. As the leading global resource for CLTs, the CLT Center supports practitioners, policymakers, and advocates by providing critical knowledge, tools, and strategic guidance.

From its origins as an all-volunteer initiative, the CLT Center has grown into a respected international hub within the community-led housing and land stewardship movement. As interest in CLTs continues to grow globally, we are expanding our team to meet increasing demand for our services, programs, and expertise.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Development Consultant to lead and execute our fundraising strategies. This is a part-time contract position (20 hours per week) focused on developing and managing a robust fundraising program to secure support for both operational and programmatic needs.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Director of Communications, and other project consultants. Board members who actively support fundraising efforts will also be key partners. This position plays a vital role in cultivating relationships with philanthropic funders, institutions, and individual donors around the world.

A background in community development and a deep understanding of grassroots, community-led approaches such as community land trusts is essential. While prior CLT-specific experience is not required, an appreciation of their role in securing affordable housing, food sovereignty, and land rights is critical.

This is a remote position and does not require U.S. work authorization. Candidates from all regions are encouraged to apply.
