The organization is looking to hire skilled Social Media Officers in Afghanistan and Ethiopia, as well as a Strategic Communications Officer for its Global Roster. 1. Social Media Officer – Afghanistan

Seefar is looking for a Social Media Officer to join their team in Afghanistan. The role will involve creating and curating engaging content, managing various social media platforms, and ensuring that the organization’s key messages reach the right audiences in Afghanistan. Key responsibilities include:
- Content Creation: Develop and produce engaging, culturally relevant social media content to raise awareness about Seefar’s initiatives and projects in Afghanistan.
- Platform Management: Manage Seefar’s social media accounts, ensuring timely and effective communication with followers, answering questions, and maintaining an active online presence.
- Campaign Strategy: Design social media campaigns that support Seefar’s goals in Afghanistan, helping to increase engagement and visibility for ongoing projects.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track social media metrics, generate reports, and assess the effectiveness of campaigns to optimize strategies moving forward.
2. Social Media Officer – Ethiopia

Similar to the position in Afghanistan, Seefar is also seeking a Social Media Officer for its operations in Ethiopia. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a passion for digital communications to help spread Seefar’s message and enhance its social media footprint within the country. The Social Media Officer in Ethiopia will be responsible for creating content that resonates with local audiences and strengthens the organization’s presence in Ethiopia.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Content Development: Design and implement social media content that is relevant to Ethiopian communities, ensuring the content aligns with Seefar’s objectives and values.
- Community Engagement: Engage with the Ethiopian audience through various social media channels, responding to inquiries and comments, and fostering positive relationships.
- Campaign Management: Collaborate with internal teams to launch and manage social media campaigns that promote Seefar’s initiatives in Ethiopia.
- Data Analysis: Use analytics tools to monitor social media engagement and track the performance of different content types and campaigns, making adjustments as needed to maximize impact.
3. Strategic Communications Officer – Global Roster

Seefar is also hiring a Strategic Communications Officer for its Global Roster, a position that allows for a broad, international scope of work. This individual will be responsible for leading the creation and execution of strategic communications plans that align with Seefar’s overall goals and vision. The Strategic Communications Officer will collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to amplify Seefar’s impact globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive communications strategies for Seefar’s global initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and the broader mission.

Eligibility Requirements
For all of these positions, Seefar is seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Relevant Experience: A background in communications, public relations, or social media management is highly desirable, along with relevant experience working in international development, social impact, or non-profit sectors.
- Digital Savvy: A solid understanding of social media platforms and communication strategies, with the ability to engage diverse audiences online.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working in or with communities in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, or globally is an advantage, with the ability to tailor messages to fit specific cultural contexts.
- Strong Writing and Editing Skills: The ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content, tailored to the specific needs of the organization and its audience.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in local languages for the Afghanistan and Ethiopia positions (such as Dari, Pashto, or Amharic) is a plus.
