Since 1994, we have partnered with over 1,000 grassroots organizations, reaching more than 11 million children and youth. Our mission is to build a world where all children are safe, strong, and valued.

We’re looking for a creative, data-driven Digital Content Creator to join our collaborative, international Marketing and Communications team. This is an exciting opportunity to craft compelling digital content that inspires, educates, and drives action in support of GFC’s mission.

About the Role

You will lead the creation and execution of engaging content across social media, web, and email platforms to grow our digital presence, attract new audiences, and convert engagement into action—whether through donations, fundraising, or sharing our stories. You’ll translate the work of GFC and its grassroots partners into compelling narratives that connect with supporters around the world.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Digital Content & Social Media Management

  • Create, schedule, and analyze engaging content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
  • Translate grassroots partner work into visual stories including reels, carousels, and posts
  • Produce high-quality multimedia content using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing software
  • Track performance data to optimize future content and meet agreed KPIs
  • Explore emerging social channels and trends to broaden audience reach
  • Support digital ad campaign delivery and performance tracking
  • Collaborate with digital agencies and freelance content creators

2. Campaigns & Email Marketing

  • Serve as content lead for key campaigns, including fundraising and brand-building
  • Support email marketing efforts using Pardot, designing acquisition and retention emails
  • Monitor open and click-through rates and contribute to performance reporting

3. Global Ambassador & Influencer Engagement

  • Help manage relationships with GFC’s Global Ambassadors and social influencers
  • Identify new supporters and coordinate outreach in collaboration with team members
  • Develop engagement plans to leverage their networks for greater reach

4. Project & Asset Management

  • Lead and co-lead digital campaigns throughout the year
  • Maintain a digital asset library (photos, videos, case studies) in accordance with GFC’s safer communication practices
  • Ensure all content creation aligns with safeguarding standards and best practices

About You

You’re a creative and strategic thinker with a passion for using digital media to create impact. You stay ahead of trends, love crafting visual stories, and know how to drive engagement and conversions across digital channels.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Deep understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and audience engagement tactics
  • Proven track record managing social media accounts and increasing reach and engagement
  • Strong design and video editing skills (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
  • Experience working with email marketing platforms (preferably Pardot)
  • Ability to use analytics tools to inform and refine content strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and experience juggling multiple deadlines
  • Creative, self-motivated, and collaborative, with a strong attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SEO and content distribution best practices
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing digital ads
  • Background in project management and working across time zones
  • Experience in nonprofit, fundraising, or grassroots advocacy work

What We Offer

GFC is a purpose-driven organization with a global team that values collaboration, professional growth, and inclusion.

Benefits include:

  • Salary up to £50,000 (UK-based)
  • 30 days holiday + 8 public holidays, increasing to 35 days after 4 years
