About the Leading Scholarship
The One Young World Summit is the premier global forum for young leaders, bringing together talent from every corner of the world to confront pressing global challenges and collaborate on innovative solutions. To ensure broad, equitable participation, One Young World offers scholarships to outstanding young people who have demonstrated a commitment to driving meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
The Leading Scholarship is our flagship program, created to support exceptional leaders from countries and regions often under-represented at global decision-making forums. These scholarships make it possible for individuals who might not otherwise have the means to attend, to be part of a powerful international network and participate fully in the One Young World experience.
What the Leading Scholarship Covers
Selected scholars will receive:
- Full delegate access to the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany.
- Hotel accommodation from 2 to 6 November 2025.
- Daily catering, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the Summit.
- Return travel to and from Munich. Please note that travel must originate and return to the same international airport.
Important note:
If selected and you require a visa to enter Germany, you will be responsible for covering the cost of your visa application. This includes the visa fee as well as any associated travel or documentation costs. These expenses will not be covered by the scholarship.

- Represent your country at the prestigious Opening Ceremony, where each delegate has the honor of waving their national flag.

Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible to apply for the Leading Scholarship if you:
- Are aged between 18 and 30 years old.*
- Have a proven track record of delivering positive change in your community or sector.
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and the potential to influence others.
- Are actively addressing key local or global challenges, such as sustainability, public health, education, social justice, or technology.
- Can provide evidence of innovative thinking and real-world impact in your work or initiatives.
* While most delegates are between the ages of 18 and 30, One Young World will consider applications from individuals older than 30 if they demonstrate exceptional impact, initiative, and a strong willingness to engage. However, applicants who will be under the age of 18 on 3 November 2025 are not eligible.
Additional Notes
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is highly encouraged.
- Priority will be given to applicants from countries or regions that have historically been less represented at previous One Young World Summits.
- The scholarship is highly competitive, and sponsorship is not guaranteed.
- Preference will be given to first-time attendees who are not yet part of the One Young World Ambassador network.
- Due to high application volume, One Young World cannot provide individual feedback or respond to inquiries regarding the status of your application.
