Bodhi Global Analysis is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Conflict and Peacebuilding Researcher to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact research and evaluations in fragile and conflict-affected settings (FCAS), with a focus on critical issues such as conflict, peacebuilding, gender, food security, climate change, migration, and governance.

Bodhi Global Analysis is a UK-based international development research consultancy, with a subsidiary in Nairobi. The company is dedicated to providing high-quality research through rigorous academic analysis to support global development organizations. Bodhi works with intergovernmental bodies like the UN, international NGOs, and local nonprofits, assisting them in designing effective interventions and achieving successful outcomes.
Role Overview
The Conflict and Peacebuilding Researcher will play a central role in conducting and leading research projects. The position involves engaging with all stages of research, from project design through to dissemination, often in collaboration with both national consultants and international partners. The role requires field travel to fragile and conflict-affected regions, where you’ll have the chance to engage with local dynamics and contribute to evidence-based policy recommendations.
This position is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will work remotely from the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and Evaluation: Lead and contribute to various research stages, including project design, data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
- Literature and Desk Reviews: Conduct comprehensive reviews of secondary sources to inform research findings.
- Data Analysis: Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Research Design: Develop research instruments and carry out interviews, focus groups, and surveys (both remotely and in-person).
- Report Writing: Contribute to report writing and provide high-quality deliverables to clients.
- Project Development: Support the development of new project concepts and contribute to proposal writing.

Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Requirements: A Master’s degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, or a related field.
- Relevant Experience: 5-7 years of research experience, particularly in conflict, peacebuilding, and stabilisation, and how these intersect with other themes like migration, climate change, food security, and governance.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in French or Arabic is highly desirable.
- Research Skills: Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with experience in using data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey research findings.
- Organization: Excellent time management, multitasking, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ethical Commitment: A deep commitment to research ethics and maintaining high-quality standards.
