Women in Energy Fellowship Cohort 2 – Empowering the Next Generation of Climate Leaders

Empowering Future Leaders in the Energy Sector
Despite women making up nearly a third of entry-level roles in the energy sector, only 19% remain at the executive level. Many women either leave the industry or are unable to break through to leadership positions. The Women in Energy Fellowship, hosted by the Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) at Columbia University, is designed to address this gap by supporting early-career professionals and helping them build the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to thrive and lead in the energy industry.
About the Fellowship
This Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for early-career women professionals to strengthen their foundation in energy and climate policy, develop leadership skills, and become part of a powerful network of change-makers. By investing in the next generation of women leaders, CGEP is helping to build a more inclusive and sustainable energy future.
The program is open to all individuals committed to gender equity in the energy and climate sectors, regardless of sex or gender identity.
