Prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025 (Open to Researchers of Any Nationality): Call for Applications

Cardiff University is now accepting Expressions of Interest for the 2025 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) call. These prestigious fellowships are designed to enhance the skills and career prospects of early-career researchers by offering them the opportunity to work abroad.
Applications are open to researchers in all academic fields, with the opportunity to conduct specific research projects in new settings.

About the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme
Funded by the European Commission, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship offers two types of fellowships:
1. European Fellowships
- Duration: 1 to 2 years
- Host Organisation: Based in an EU member state or Horizon Europe-associated country
- Eligibility: Open to researchers of any nationality
- Secondments: Optional secondments and/or non-academic placements are allowed.
2. Global Fellowships
- Duration: 2 to 3 years
- Structure:
- Outgoing phase (1-2 years) hosted at an organisation outside of Europe
- Return phase (1 year) hosted at an EU member state or associated country
- Eligibility: Open to nationals or long-term residents of EU member states or Horizon Europe-associated countries
- Secondments: Possible secondments and/or non-academic placements included.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Hold a PhD by the time of the call deadline
- Have no more than 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience by the deadline
- Comply with the mobility rule, meaning that applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the host organisation’s country for more than 12 months in the 3 years preceding the call deadline.

How to Apply
The internal application process for the 2025 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship is open from 8 May 2025 to 29 May 2025 at 5pm.
Here are the steps to express your interest:
- Check Eligibility: Ensure that you meet the MSCA PF eligibility criteria.
- Find an Academic Supervisor: Review Cardiff University’s Academic School pages to identify potential supervisors for your project. Contact them directly to confirm whether they are willing to support your application.
- Complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) Form: After securing support from a supervisor, fill out the EOI form.
- Submit Your EOI: Email the completed form to [email protected] by the deadline, 29 May 2025, 5pm.
- Review Process: Your EOI will be forwarded to the relevant Academic School/Institute for review and to confirm support for your proposal.
You can expect a response by the end of June 2025.
Please note that applications without the support of an academic supervisor will not be considered.
