Overwiew
New Profit a leading venture philanthropy organization, is launching its 2025 Economic Mobility Catalyze Cohort. This initiative aims to support innovative nonprofit organizations dedicated to expanding economic opportunity in America. Selected organizations will receive $100,000 in unrestricted funding, $10,000 for leadership development, and strategic advisory support over one year. Additionally, they will join a peer learning community to enhance their impact and sustainability.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the 2025 grantmaking cycle, organizations must:
- Be a nonprofit organization with a focus on economic mobility.
- Demonstrate a commitment to advancing equity and opportunity in America.
- Align with New Profit’s investment strategies and priorities.
Priority Areas
New Profit is particularly interested in organizations addressing one or more of the following priority areas:
- Social Drivers of Employment Outcomes: Increasing access to high-quality, affordable childcare, transportation, and housing to support economic opportunity.
- Pathways to Income Generation: Equitable innovations in the labor market, such as developing solutions that promote skills-based hiring, living wage jobs, and worker power.
- Financial Health & Wealth Creation: Driving reparations and guaranteed income solutions, increasing access to capital for entrepreneurship, and exploring ideas of community ownership.
Application Process
- Discovery Form Submission: Organizations interested in being considered for the 2025 grantmaking cycle must complete a Discovery Form by Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET / 8:59 PM PT. Submitting a Discovery Form does not constitute a full application but indicates interest and provides baseline information about the organization.
- Full Application Invitation: Based on the alignment with New Profit’s strategies, selected organizations will be invited to submit a full application in June 2025.
Support Provided
Organizations selected for the Economic Mobility Catalyze Cohort will receive:
- Unrestricted Funding: $100,000 to support general operating expenses.
- Leadership Development: $10,000 allocated for leadership development initiatives.
- Strategic Advisory Support: Guidance from New Profit’s team to enhance organizational effectiveness and impact.
- Peer Learning Community: Opportunities to collaborate and learn from other cohort members.
