Purpose of the Internship
The Associate Intern program is designed to provide structured workplace experience to recent graduates and students currently completing a relevant qualification. This internship opportunity supports professional development through hands-on exposure to operational tasks, business processes, and strategic projects across different departments. Interns are placed based on business needs and their field of study and are expected to contribute meaningfully beyond observation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support operational and administrative functions within the assigned division, including logistics, documentation, and internal coordination.
- Contribute to research, data collection, analysis, and report compilation to aid informed decision-making.
- Assist in the development and implementation of business solutions that address operational challenges or strategic goals.
- Participate actively in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Work under the mentorship of a designated supervisor and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders where applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have recently completed or currently be completing a Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in one of the following fields. Professional certifications are an added advantage.
Information Technology and Cyber Security
- BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology
- BSc in Cyber Security or Information Security
- Bachelor of Information Systems
- BEng in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Information Security
- Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH
Forensics Investigation
- BCom in Forensic Accounting, Forensic Auditing, or Law (Criminal/Commercial focus)
- Bachelor of Forensic Science
- National Diploma in Forensic Investigation
- Postgraduate Diploma in Fraud Risk Management
- Certification: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Networks and Telecommunications
- BEng in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering
- National Diploma/BTech in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering
- BSc in Networking or Computer Systems
- Certifications: CCNA, CCNP
- Postgraduate Diploma in Network Engineering
Procurement and Supply Chain
- BCom in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Logistics
- National Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Qualification
- Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Sourcing or Quantity Surveying
Strategy and Business Transformation
- BCom or BEng with a focus on Strategy, Innovation, or Economics
- Qualifications in Data Science, Design Thinking, Innovation Management, Systems Thinking
Customer Value Management
- BCom in Marketing, Economics, Business Intelligence or Data Analytics
- BSc in Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science
- BBA or equivalent business qualification
- Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Analytics or CRM
- Skills in SQL, Power BI, Python, R
Psychometry
- BPsych or BPsych Equivalent (HPCSA accredited)
- Master’s in Psychology or Industrial Psychology
- Registered with HPCSA (Independent or Supervised Practice)
Finance and Accounting
- BCom in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or Financial Management
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) stream or CIMA pathway
- Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Reporting, Taxation, or Cost Management
Risk, Compliance, and Business Continuity
- Bachelor’s in Risk Management, Internal Auditing, Business Management, Law, or Compliance
- Qualifications in Disaster Management, Emergency Planning, or Crisis Management
Marketing, Branding, and Media
- BCom or BA in Marketing, Brand Building, or Strategic Management
- BA/BDes/BCT in Interaction Design, Product Design, or Digital Design
- BA in Public Relations, Digital Media, or Events Management
- Honours in Brand or Communication Management
