Program Overview
The 12th edition of the ADEL program will take place from December 7-11, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco, followed by participation in the Atlantic Dialogues conference from December 11-13. ADEL is the flagship leadership initiative of the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) and has been a transformative experience for young professionals since 2012. Each year, up to 40 outstanding young leaders from across the Atlantic Basin come together for a fully-funded, week-long program designed to amplify their voices and equip them to build a more inclusive and cooperative Atlantic space.
Who Can Apply?
The ADEL program is open to passionate young professionals who meet the following criteria:
- Age: Between 25 and 35 years old (as of May 7th, 2025)
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership potential and a strong professional track record
- Commitment: Eager to create positive impact in their communities or fields (public, private, or civil society sectors)
- Geography: Citizens or residents of countries within the Atlantic Basin (Africa, North/Central/South America, Europe, or the Caribbean)
- Fluency in English: Proficiency in English is required
- Availability: Able to participate in the full program from December 7-13, 2025
- Cultural Engagement: Open to engaging across cultures and contributing to the ADEL network

How to Apply?
Applications for ADEL 2025 must be submitted online via the ADEL website. The required application documents include:
- Resume/CV (max. 2 pages, PDF format)
- Personal Statement (max. 250 words) detailing your perspective on today’s leadership challenges and your role in the Atlantic space
- One-Minute Private YouTube Video answering the following questions:
- Who are you and what’s your field of work?
- What drives your work and its impact?
- Why are you applying to ADEL?
- How will you contribute to and benefit from the program?
Important Notes:
- All documents must be submitted in English.
- Your YouTube video must be uploaded privately and accessible only to those with the link.
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Key Dates:
- Application Open: May 7th, 2025
- Application Deadline: June 15th, 2025
- Program Dates: December 7-11, 2025 (ADEL program), followed by the Atlantic Dialogues conference from December 11-13, 2025.
Logistics and Support
PCNS will provide support for the 40+ selected participants, covering the following costs:
- Round-trip Economy Airfare to Rabat, Morocco
- Local Transportation within Morocco
- Hotel Accommodation during the program and conference
- Meals throughout the program and conference
- Full Attendance and Engagement: Active participation in all sessions, discussions, and group activities
- Continued Involvement: Contribution to the ADEL community as an ambassador after the program
