Position Overview
The Junior Construction Engineer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating construction and maintenance activities at project sites to ensure compliance with client specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in the construction and engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Work Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement efficient work plans and schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Site Supervision: Oversee daily site activities, including managing labor forces and subcontractors through General Foremen and Supervisors.
- Quality Control: Ensure that construction and maintenance work meets quality standards and client specifications.
- Safety Management: Monitor and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Material Management: Supervise the selection and requisition of materials, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other issues that may arise during construction.
- Documentation: Prepare necessary paperwork for work completion and obtain client authorization post-inspection.
- Reporting: Collaborate with Project Engineers to prepare periodic progress reports.
- Compliance: Adhere to the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in construction or a related field.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; high leadership potential; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
