Eastern Cape Socio-Economic Consultative Council (ECSECC) is Hiring!
The Eastern Cape Socio-Economic Consultative Council (ECSECC) is seeking talented professionals for several key roles within the organization. As part of their mission to promote sustainable socio-economic development across the Eastern Cape region, ECSECC is now hiring for the following positions. All roles are contract-based until 31 March 2026, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the region while gaining invaluable experience in the field.
Available Positions:
1. Project Manager: Governance & Constituency Support (Contract until 31 March 2026)
The Project Manager: Governance & Constituency Support will be responsible for overseeing projects that aim to strengthen governance structures and support constituencies in the Eastern Cape. This includes fostering effective communication between government bodies and the public, enhancing democratic processes, and ensuring that governance initiatives are implemented effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects aimed at improving governance and constituency relations.
- Develop strategies to increase community participation in governance processes.
- Support the implementation of capacity-building programs for local government officials and community leaders.
- Monitor and evaluate governance projects to ensure they meet objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in governance-related projects or constituency development.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
2. Project Manager: Long-Term Socio-Economic Planning (Contract until 31 March 2026)
The Project Manager: Long-Term Socio-Economic Planning will manage initiatives focused on developing and implementing long-term socio-economic strategies for the Eastern Cape. The position requires a strategic thinker who can assess current trends and forecast future needs to ensure the sustainable growth of the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead long-term socio-economic planning initiatives aimed at sustainable development.
- Collaborate with government and private sector partners to formulate actionable plans.
- Analyze data and conduct research to inform long-term socio-economic policies.
- Monitor the progress and impact of socio-economic development initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Experience in socio-economic planning or policy development.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to design long-term strategies.
3. Project Manager: Strategic Planning Coordination (Contract until 31 March 2026)
The Project Manager: Strategic Planning Coordination will play a key role in managing the overall strategic planning processes within ECSECC. This position is ideal for someone who excels in coordinating multiple strategic projects and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the broader socio-economic development objectives of the Eastern Cape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of ECSECC’s strategic plans.
- Facilitate the development and monitoring of strategic goals across different sectors.
- Ensure that projects align with the broader regional and national development objectives.
- Engage with stakeholders to support the achievement of strategic outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, or a related field.
- Experience in strategic planning and project coordination.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
4. Regional Economic Development Specialist (Contract until 31 March 2026)
The Regional Economic Development Specialist will focus on driving economic development initiatives across the Eastern Cape, supporting regional industries, and promoting sustainable growth. This role is suited for someone with strong knowledge of regional economics and the ability to develop programs that boost economic activity and create opportunities for local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional economic development strategies.
- Work with local businesses, government, and other stakeholders to promote economic growth.
- Analyze economic trends and develop policies to support local industries.
- Support the creation of programs aimed at job creation and poverty reduction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Economics, Regional Development, or a related field.
- Experience in regional economic development and policy formulation.
- Strong understanding of economic trends and local economic issues.
