About Amani South Sudan

Amani South Sudan (formerly Amani Orphans and Widows Welfare Services) is a women- and youth-led humanitarian organization based in Juba, South Sudan. In the face of one of the world’s most urgent humanitarian crises, we are unwavering in our commitment to empower vulnerable communities, particularly women, children, and displaced persons, through education, climate resilience, women’s empowerment, and humanitarian assistance.

Amidst the growing displacement caused by regional conflict, our dedicated team remains on the ground every day, delivering life-saving support to those most affected.

South Sudan is currently experiencing an increasingly complex humanitarian emergency, characterized by rising displacement, food insecurity, and reduced access to basic services. The challenges are profound—vulnerable families face the erosion of livelihoods, limited access to education and healthcare, and growing protection concerns.

Despite these dire circumstances, Amani South Sudan continues to focus on providing critical programs that address these pressing issues, with a particular focus on marginalized communities.

To respond to these critical needs and sustain our impactful work, Amani South Sudan is looking to expand its international funding base. We are particularly focused on strengthening resource mobilization efforts to secure grants and funding to support our initiatives in climate resilience, youth and women’s empowerment, and grassroots community-driven programs. Through these efforts, we aim to enhance resilience and restore hope for communities facing unprecedented hardships.
