Geneva Peace Week (GPW) is back, and we invite organizations to contribute to the official program for Geneva Peace Week 2025, themed “Peace in Action”. We are now accepting applications from organizations around the world to submit proposals for engaging and impactful events that will contribute to advancing the global peace agenda.
The application period runs from March 31 to May 16, 2025.

Geneva Peace Week welcomes applications for the following session formats:
- Peace Panels (Hybrid)
- 24 Sessions Available
Peace Panels are designed to stimulate engaging discussions on critical peace-related topics. These sessions will foster dialogue among experts and stakeholders, promoting the exchange of ideas and solutions. Audience interaction through Q&A sessions is highly encouraged to create an inclusive, participatory atmosphere. - Location: Maison de la Paix (Conference Center: 140 seats | Geneva Centre for Security Policy: 90 seats)
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Format: Hybrid (on-site & online)

- Peace Workshops (In-Person)
- 24 Sessions Available
Peace Workshops are interactive sessions designed to foster practical skill development and knowledge exchange. These workshops will be led by experienced practitioners and will prioritize group work and hands-on learning. Speaker contributions should not exceed 30% of the session time to ensure the focus is on interactivity. - Location: Maison de la Paix (Conference Center: 20 seats)

Virtual workshops follow the same interactive format as in-person sessions. Priority will be given to non-Geneva-based organizations, offering them a platform to share their peacebuilding expertise globally. - Location: Zoom session
- Duration: 90 minutes

How to Apply
To apply, simply submit your Application Form by 16 May 2025. Detailed application instructions and the form are available on the Geneva Peace Week website.
Application Requirements
To ensure the highest quality and most impactful sessions, your application must meet the following criteria:
- Alignment with GPW25 Keywords & Thematic Direction: Your session should address key peacebuilding themes that are central to Geneva Peace Week’s goals.
- Clearly Defined Objectives: The proposal must articulate the specific peacebuilding contribution your session will make.
- Diversity & Inclusivity: Sessions should feature up to 4 speakers representing diverse sectors such as international organizations, NGOs, academia, governments, and the private sector. Organizers are strongly encouraged to ensure gender, age, and geographical diversity, including grassroots actors where possible.
- Collaborative Approach: Each event should have a lead organizer and up to 5 co-organizers. At least one of the organizing institutions must be based in Geneva. Organizations may apply once as a lead organizer and once as a co-organizer.
- Hybrid Event Design: All peace panels should be designed to engage both on-site and online audiences, maximizing accessibility and participation. Workshops will either be in-person or online.

Additional Information
Geneva Peace Week will cover logistical costs related to the event, but organizers are responsible for expenses such as travel and accommodation for their speakers and staff.
