Africa CDC Sponsorship: Supporting Public Health Leaders from Africa
This year, Africa CDC is sponsoring 25 public health professionals from Africa through its Mental Health Leadership Programme.
This sponsorship is part of Africa CDC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening mental health leadership on the continent. The selected professionals will receive full support to attend the course, which includes travel, accommodation, and course fees, ensuring that those who might otherwise face financial barriers can access this important opportunity.
Africa CDC’s sponsorship reflects the growing recognition of the importance of mental health in Africa, especially in light of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing mental health burden across the continent. By empowering public health professionals with the knowledge and leadership skills to address these challenges, Africa CDC aims to build a sustainable and resilient mental health system in Africa.
AUC Scholarships: Supporting Candidates from Low-Income Countries in the Middle East
In addition to the Africa CDC sponsorship, AUC is offering limited scholarships for candidates from low-income countries in the Middle East. This initiative aims to increase access to the course for professionals working in the region, where mental health services often face significant challenges, including stigma, underfunding, and a lack of trained personnel.
These scholarships cover partial or full tuition, as well as travel and accommodation costs, making it possible for dedicated professionals to attend and enhance their leadership capabilities in mental health.
