Position Overview:
The UNFPA Representative in Burkina Faso will play a pivotal leadership role, guiding the country office team in the design and implementation of the country’s population and development programs. The position requires a strong leader to drive the mission of UNFPA, ensuring that the organization’s goals are met in alignment with national priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the country office’s operations, including program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Represent UNFPA to the government, development partners, and other stakeholders.
- Provide leadership in advancing sexual and reproductive health, population and development programs, and gender equality.
- Oversee and manage the country office team, ensuring that their efforts align with the organization’s goals and vision.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Population Studies, Public Health, Social Sciences, or International Relations.
- At least 15 years of professional experience in senior management roles, including in development programs and working with governments and international organizations.
- Strong experience in leading complex international organizations or business units, especially in challenging environments.
- Proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.

- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and represent UNFPA at the highest levels.
- Strategic thinking and experience in resource mobilization.

Position Overview:
The UNFPA Representative in Niamey, Niger will lead the country office’s team in designing and implementing programs focusing on population, development, sexual and reproductive health, and gender equality. The Representative will be responsible for ensuring that the country office’s work is aligned with national priorities, focusing on achieving sustainable development goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the strategic direction of the UNFPA programs in Niger.
- Lead and manage the country office, ensuring alignment of all programs with national development goals.
- Build strong partnerships with the government, donors, civil society, and other stakeholders.
- Promote the integration of population and development concerns into national policies and strategies.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in Population Studies, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in international development, with a significant portion of that time in leadership roles.
- Proven experience in managing complex operations in international organizations, with a focus on human development and humanitarian responses.
- Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written.
Desired Skills:
- Strong strategic, managerial, and communication skills.
- Ability to represent UNFPA at the highest levels of government and with partners.
- Experience in resource mobilization and financial management.
